Tippett in conjunction with Sinclair is a bonus for 2016 season that has not really been discussed in this thread to date. Particularly with the 2 new rules.

Keeping the ball in play means the forward pressure will often get more reward this year. Assuming one is almost always in the square for take contested marks, the new combination both solves the Buddy focus and brings the Papley type into play.

With the lower rotations, their ability to both stay out on the ground and is just a bonus for mid=field rotations.

As we farewell Goodes and Pyke this weekend, the great one would not have sustained the forward pressure, and the Sinclair/Tippett combination would well shade the 2015 version of Pyke.

Athletic young ruckmen with endurance will be the new order of the day with less interchange.
Add to that Tippett and Sinclair are more than adequate forwards and we're golden (bar injury)

Indeed, an area that was a real weakness now looks very solid, want to see young Sam and Galloway develop as backups now.

I see that today's Sports Fan has an article with the headline, 'Crows fans get the chance to boo Tippett'. What, they don't reckon that Swans fans may have had enough of morons booing!?

They're a bit feral 'west' of the border, as we well know (including the media it seems)....... . We shouldn't expect anything less! Winning will be all the sweeter!

              Can not wait for this!!!

The Crows will be feral times one million.

Would put the icing on the cake if we won and Tippett kick 10 goals!

In my book Crows' fans are well within their right to boo Tippet, it's a completely different scenario to what was happening last year with Goodesy, we'd rightly be accused of being precious if we get upset over that

Well, since he last played for them four years ago, I suspect that most Adelaide fans would of had no real intention of booing Tippo, if it wasn't for certain mindless media types inflaming the issue. And if some Crows fans have somehow managed to have maintained the rage, after all those years, then they really need to get out more. I mean, bearing some sort of eternal grudge, because a professional football player got a better deal, probably isn't the path to sanity and contentment. And as possible proof of that argument, it is probably worthwhile comparing how Swans fans treat ex-players and how Collingwood fans treat ex-players.

Clearly the (probable) booing of Tippett next weekend is a completely different kettle of fish from what Goodes had to put up with last season.

But that doesn't stop it being exceeding boring and boorish and childish. I came very close to booking a ticket and flight over to Adelaide for this game, but the crowd response to Tippett was one reason I decided to give it a miss.

                      Tippett!!

Graham Cornes has given the Crows fans a nasty and somewhat irresponsible rev-up for Saturday.

'South Australian legend Graham Cornes has warned Sydney ruckman Kurt Tippett to expect a "very warm welcome ? one which could extend into heated" when he faces his old club for the first time in Adelaide since his controversial exit.'

There was a lot of bitterness in his tone. "We invested in him and now Sydney are reaping the rewards" or something to that extent. Really? It's like us being bitter about Jetta playing well for WCE. Get over it

I totally agree. (And I suspect the Swans ruck whisperer has had a lot more to do with Kurt's development than anybody at the Crows.)

Or Port being bitter about Chad Cornes going to GWS perhaps?

I don't think Tippett will let the crowd faze him.
If anything he'll show them exactly what they are missing out on. Hope he has the best game of his career (so far)

I am over the crows fans blaming Tippett for the salary cap breech though,

If the situation was reversed, the Swans crowd would be booing. No issue with it at all in this case.
