After reading phantom drafts and watching some video today, I can now see why this year's draft is seen as a bit different to other years. There is a fair it of discrepancy between the phantom drafters from positions 6 or 7 through to 20. For that reason, I am now excited by pick 14 (I know, I know... I've changed pretty quick). At pick 14, it is highly likely that someone would've slipped to this point like Balta, Coffield, or Foggarty. If not, I like the look of Lochie O'Brien - he has a nice penetrating left kick with good outside speed and apparently elite endurance.

Yeh it's going to be a draft where some clubs might rate someone top 10 n others that same player at pick 20. And they'll be a few like that. It's why it's so hard to pick who we'll end up with ATM.

I'm sure this won't be popular but I would consider trading Parker if the right deal could be done.

I think having him and JPK and Hanners makes us too slow + he has gone missing in some big games.

Parker is a fine player and has trade currency so we would obviously get something decent for him. A fast outside mid is something we are lacking and would compliment our contested ball midfield well.

Understand your point but because we struggled for energy on Friday, things can appear worse than they are. We didn't look slow late in the year against GWS and Crows etc and he was among our best every week.

I could see Parker playing a forward role like Danger did. He's a great mark for his size.

Exactly the same thought came to me. Parker's finals record is poor and he is a bit slow and similar to JK and DH. Trading him should get us something worthwhile and maybe time for Mills to have a go in the midfield.

                He could take rohans spot.

What you trading him for? An early pick this year. A future pick for next year. Another player. You've just said an outside fast player but is it someone from another club an early pick for a certain player in the draft this year or a future pick early next year for an outside player next year.

Why the Swans should target 'Libba': Sydney's 2017 season in review

"If the Bulldogs and Libba are looking at a fresh start, what better place than the Swans? The club's history of instilling a new approach in players' careers and setting them up for amazing results is famous, with their strong culture and leadership.

At 25, "Libba'' should be at the peak of his powers and at his best is one of the premium clearance and contested ball players in the game. The tight confines and high-stoppage style at the SCG would suit his game, and he would become a nice addition around the contest with Parker, Kennedy and Heeney."

I thought this was a silly article, along with Chris Connolly saying that the Swans lost the their chance at a premiership by trading Tom Mitchell. The same folks will be saying (out of the other side of their respective mouths) that the Swans need more outside run. So we trade Mitchell for Florent to get some more outside speed. Now why would we want another inside mid, as if the correct the 'mistake' of trading Mitchell? They say we can win in the close confines of the SCG, but not the open spaces of the MCG. So how do we win games at the MCG with a SCG game plan?

A lot of these media pundits are boring me to death with their superficial analyses. I don't always agree with our game plan, but I I have no problems with the way we have been transitioning our list. I don't think it's lost on our recruiters that we need to continue down this path.

Is Zak Jones over-rated? I'm going to go against the grain here. He's a model for inconsistency and turns the ball over too many times. I can only remember him being good for a couple of games early on this season, then everyone jumped on his bandwagon. Just re-signed but I'd put him on the trade table.

He is overrated but only played just over 50 games.

Give him some more time; he won't be a Mills or Heeney, but we will get a good player out of him.

Can have games where he fumbles and mishandles a lot, including a very recent game! Let's give him time to reach full potential, I think he's probably more a mid than a half back.

Short answer yes he is overrated, but he's not going on the trade table (nor is Hanners or Parker)

I've torn my hair out on occasion - how many times does he have to get run down from behind? - but I think "Give him a bit more time" is the right approach. He does have talent.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
