Not having see him play, I would conclude that by he not being selected to play if the firsts that he would be at the top of the pecking order to be de-listed at season's end unless he is still contracted for 2018.

Brander will not go top 3. Most people have him around 5-6. I'd expect both to play seniors in the first year.Comment

Norf seem to be putting the cue in the rack. They play Brisbane in the last round of the year (Zak Jones Cup). Let's hope Brisbane don't win another game this season and their percentage decreases. If Norf finish bottom our bargaining position re Zac Jones won't be as strong.Comment

Sam Reid can't kick a set shot 30 out on a angle... anyway he's been offered a four year deal and Jones also has an offer in front of him so if they don't sign in the next two or three weeks they're gone.

The Hun and Sen today running a rumour (via Tim Watson) that Dusty could be coming to Sydney. Would require us to "offload" Macca, Kizza and Tippo.

Martin would be an awesome fit for us but not so sure that he would fit our No Dickheads policy. I can see how he would be attracted to Sydney if he wants a premiership and less media exposure.Comment

The following NSW boys have been invited to the combine: NSW-ACT Jarrod Brander (Bendigo Pioneers), Brendan Myers (Wagga Tigers/GWS academy), Jack Powell (Ainsli/GWS academy), Nicholas Shipley (St George/GWS academy), Charlie Spargo (Murray Bushrangers). GWS continue to be reaping the rewards of their ridiculous zoning.Comment

I hope he isn't in the mix with the Swans, purely so I don't have to endure talk of no dickheads policyThe difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

As for Dusty, I can't see that happening - although it might explain the non-signing of Jones in particular as Dusty would be an even better version of Zak. I'm more than content to stick with Zak and Sam Reid. As for the retirement of Kizza, how's that going to happen?? He's contracted for another two years (from memory) and unlikely to walk away when he's no doubt on a wage that is going to be setting him up for the rest of his life. That's partly why I think they're making it up as they go along and we are fools if we pay them much attention.

Incidentally, Richard Hinds (I think) recently wrote about how the 'No Dickheads' policy is a furphy that emerged following an article he had written shortly before we won the 2005 flag. And because of the great success that followed it has just stuck and the club has never bothered to disclaim it.All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

Yes, we are a bit light on for tatts. Especially if Jones bails. Martin is an awesome player to watch (when not playing us), great kick, very composed, rarely
makes a mistake and can turn it on and win games singlehandedly. Right up there with Buddy, Dangerfield etc as one of the best players in footy IMO.
I don't think he'll ever leave Richmond though, too many Tigers fans would be heartbroken and he wouldn't want that on his conscience. Nobody would,
there's too many of them.Comment
