The Swans' website has made Jones' re-signing official, though he's extended just for two years, not the rumoured four. That suggests that he may not yet be committed to playing his whole career in Sydney. Sounds like he's keeping his options open to return to Melbourne at some point in the not too distant future.
Reminds me of Jetta's last contract with the Swans.

      Happy to trade him.
Not hard enough, hungry enough or passionate enough.
Does anyone ever see any emotion in him?

He's a bit like Elliot Goblet isn't he. The coaches love him because he does a lot of "1%ers". I don't see that however.

Was listening to SEN around lunchtime today. A caller rang up and said that Richmond are right into Aliir. The commentator then went on to say that the Sydney player to watch is Dawson. He can play in any position and is a gun.

AA is a contracted player to the end of next year. If Richmond are into him, I'd be making them cough up. AA could become a very good player in time. Call me idealistic, but I wouldn't want to see him go for peanuts.

A year with Lockett this year sharpening his kicking at goal........priceless
Failed forward as a junior who in his draft year was moved to defence n that's what got him his all Australian under 18 selection n then drafted. Imo may occasionally pinch hit going forward but I don't see him as a regular forward at senior level.

If we were able to get one of their first rounders you'd have to consider it. Apart from that I don't think he'll leave. The potential of Dawson has even reached Melbourne just a pity the selection committee don't know about him????

Getting Jones was a key priority. Super happy that deal was done. Reid is too iffy for mine. Can be effective one week and proppy the next. He can work both ends of the ground, which is a bonus and that is his value. I wouldn't pay overs though.

Anyone in Melbourne ring in about Foote or just our selection committee who cant get enough of him

Team balance or not last year they kept saying Alir is versatile which means he can play anywhere just select him for christ sake

Ben Reid seems like he's on the outer with Bucks. Maybe the Reid brothers might unite under the red and white banner

A few Wobbles supporters think the Reids are more likely to play together at the Swans than Collingwood.
As I've said many times before, Reid down back was a catastrophe. The club eventually realised this and moved him to where he can (one rare occasions) do some good things.

Regardless of my views and also of Longmires etc.
Really depends on whether Reid wants to remain at the Swans.
4 years apparently put on the table for both Jones & Reid.
Jones decided to take 2 and hope he continues to improve and drive up his price.
Reid hasn't committed yet in any way.
Can we reed in to that?
Maybe he wants to try somewhere else?

This Dawson chap, sounds a likely type by that. Do the match committee know about him?

Boddo .....the info given to me was that to Make the vic city team maibaum was behind a few others as a key forward hence made the switch to defence in year 12

I never thought Grundy would be such a great convert from The forwards to The Backs nor Barry Hall the other way round now Bruce at Saint Kilda on the rise now as a forward

                              I'm open......
