Others to watch from this future draft are Josh Rayner, plays club footy with Jacko Barling. Quire a bit taller than Jacko and has a smooth kicking action.
The other stand out from NSW is Delahunty, from the Wagga area, unfortunately tied to GWS but this kid will be a key forward star.
Included in the selections are AFL NSW/ACT Rams, Josh Rayner of the Sydney Swans Academy and Liam Delahunty from the GWS GIANTS Academy.
Rayner and Delahunty were impressive during the 2017 NAB AFL Under 16 Championships, with both frequently listed among the best players for the Rams throughout the series.
It has been a big week for Rayner having been announced as a joint winner of the 2017 Kieren Jack Medal for the Best and Fairest Boys player within the AFL Sydney Juniors competition."Comment

This came out today - "The AFL has today released the twenty-first intake into Level One of the NAB AFL Academy.

It's a great concept and I get the reason why it has taken so long but from next year the Academy should be providing at least one draft pick per year. I'd hope by 2025 that at least a third of our list is home grown, hopefully moreComment

Blakey next year and then Rayner and Barling in 2019!

If dusty is worth 1.3 a year Buddy is being seriously underpaid.
2) does Richmond have the same "he will be in your cap regardless of whether he's watching the game from the centre square, the medical room or from incarceration
Nope, but we might be able to use the lack there of if there ever was an issue with Buddy (a bridge I hope we never cross)Chillin' with the strange QuarksComment

Citing on radio how many recruiting targets the Kangaroos have missed. Offered Heeney an lucrative deal and missed out and also offered Hannebury a attractive 7 year deal. Heard about the Heeney one , but never knew they went after Hannas as well?Comment

Serves them right for taking Shannon Grant.Comment

Sounds like the Roos need to get a better recruiting manager!Comment
-
Actually, this was mentioned on the radio last night and the opinion was that it is a normal contract, so if the player retires, etc then they will need to be paid out. This is the reason some players retire at the beginning of a season as opposed to the end of it, to avoid putting the entire amount under the same year's cap.Comment

Roos are not a destination club. Why would Martin, Kelly and these blokes on the tip of a premiership go to the worst team in the league who may not even play finals within their careers.
Off to the draft kangas. Go to Tassie or fold while you are there.Comment

That's a great point. Also will there be rumblings about Martin taking up all the cap which will push out other players and it will be a mass exodus????Comment
