Rohan for 61 by itself doesn't look great. But if we get Clarke in for that pick or 69, its not a terrible deal. Unless of course Rohan suddenly becomes his original lofty draft position suggests he should.

Geelong doesn't have a real lot they could offer to be honest either - so we were somewhat stuck between a rock and a hard place."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Can't help feeling negative in hindsight that we may've got a 2nd rounder for Rohan at his last contract extension when Geelong came knocking, which then may've enablled us to retain Mitchell. Mind you I was happy at the time we kept Rohan away from Geelong!Comment

Indeed, but then perhaps we would of ended up giving that away for Clarke. At that stage of the draft, the value of the picks (not talking about points here - just their general value/likelihood of picking up a good player) is pretty close anyway.

He would be a very decent get for mine, very decent indeed. Maybe stacking up on 2nd round picks is, beyond just getting points for Blakey, a way to ensure we can't be 'bent over' too hard for a couple of targets we have."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Bombers might also if we land dylan Clarke this year or next
They just look like the playerswe love moving from contest to contest gut running solid skills and willing
Wonder how many years we offered Ryan Clarke ?"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Very good get. Just saw my doctor who is Pies supporter. He says Pies supporters are polorised on him. Some think he turns over and wastes the footy. Having said that he said his last 3 games were his best games. All finals!Comment

I think Langdon would be a good get however, would fit in well and help fill a clear gap in our team."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Yeah
There are a fair few layers
Langdon does free up our Jones and mills type players to be more in the midfield rotation which is key
We won’t hold onto jones unless he is primarily playing midfield as he will attract midfield dollars
Jones has alluded to in several interviews “horse has needed me down back” ie that sounded reluctant
Jones has been exposed as a defender in the backline and we need him on the wing
Plus if Tom Langdon comes to the swans (plays his role) and this also helps us pick up ed Langdon I would be stoked
Lastly O’Riordan is getting closer to a 22 spot and Langdon and O’Riordan down back and mills and jones midfield would be a healthy change up"be tough, only when it gets tough"
