Funny, I listened to that too and got the impression he was annoyed that pick 42 wasn't enough. It will be interesting to see where that trade ends up.

I think that might be on the optimistic side

3 way turn Rohan into Vandenburg would be a good outcome

He is, but if Gold Coast want him they’ll trade for him so that they don’t risk compromising the Lynch compensation pick.

That said, they won’t trade Brodie for him. I doubt they’d trade Brodieat all unless some club offers way overs.

Many thought Kreuger would go in the ND last year, but didn't even get a rookie selection. Now he's going for pick 42. I suppose we could say Kelly was a real steal, having missed out on several drafts, then going for pick 24 last year and now being valued as a top 10 pick.

A good strategy used by many clubs for dealing with the compensation paid to other clubs for a player wanting to come to theirclub, e.g. Hanners and Rohan, is to offload all the reasonable pick options so that you're only left with crap to give in a take it or leave it deal. The Swans are too nice, and will usually let it go through anyway.

I think the issue is that the swans are letting gas go back to Melb either way

They could start by swapping 1st round picks with us.

That's my take on it too (and what Gaz himself has posted). The Swans have decided to move Rohan on and free up the cap space. The Cats know it and won't have to give up much. Gazza getting to be back in the bosom of his family is a bonus. Where is Amie from by the way?
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

I believe they were childhood sweethearts, so she's from the same area as he is.

Rohan has said his choice of clubs for next year is two - Geelong or Sydney. I get the feeling the Swans are nudging him out rather than him asking to be traded, and the Cats would know that too. Sounds like if they don't trade for him, he'll bed down in Sydney (where he still has two years left to run on their contract). We have no way of knowing how important it is to the Swans to move him on, or whether it's a mutual decision rather than a one-sided one.

His 2018 season was his worst for a while, and we have no way of knowing how much he was affected by personal changes in his life. If he were to stay, he's clearly capable of playing reasonable footy - ie would be at least vying to be in the best 22. His best is pretty useful. He just hasn't been able to produce it consistently.

Some twitter chat suggesting that Tom Langdon met with Harley this afternoon. Whether this is right or not, we do seem to be consistently linked to defenders this year. I can only think that, if true, we would be hoping to use Mills and Jones as our midfield recruits.

He'd be a more than handy pick up.

List Manager went on to say few more hurdles to get over before a deal gets done, but optimistic it will adding they (Geelong) have historically good trade relations with the Swans.

I'm hoping deal involves receiving Jackson Thurlow!
Here we go. We'll end up being butt ...... at the trade table yet again.

His circumstances aren't too different from Vandenbergs. It'll be interesting to see how both deals compare.
