Sounds like Daniher is off to Brisbane, however rumours around Cameron to the Swans seem to be building.

Not really interested in his salary and thuggish attitude, but he's undeniably a good player

Hope he comes with some really nice steak knives.

Saints gave up a first rounder for Hickey in 2012. Then WC gave up a pick in the mid 40s. He's on a downward trajectory value wise and given his age, we should not give up any picks worth any points for him.

He’s just not very good, never has been. If he’s the best we can do then we should stick with what we have and reassess next year

Problem was that the Swans used him as a flank player and the entire midfield strategy was to kick it high to Buddy (or Reid) with poor delivery while Buddy had two or three defenders hanging off him. Gary was out in Siberia and hence his stats at the end of the day were usually very low with only one or two cameo appearances. We also had McCartin in waiting as our next KPF so we deemed Gary surplus to our needs without trying him out in a role which would best utilise his talents.

Gary now starting to realise his enormous potential at Geelong.

He will be judged accordingly by the football world going into any future finals.
My money is on another choke when it matters.
He has looked very good lately....it's been hard to watch. I really miss his pace at the Swans but was also ready let him go when the time came. I think with Gary tonight it will be if the Cats are going well, he'll go ok but if they are not, he's not going to step up and win it for them.....he'll go missing. I hope he does well and buries a few demons, because I want Geelong to win.

That's unfair on Buddy. He turned up in 2014 when most of the team didn't. In 2016 he injured his ankle at the start of the game.

I love Gazza and wish him very well (although I don't regret trading him and I don't want Geelong to win while Chris Scott remains their coach, or really any time soon).

I can't say that I'm too excited about the prospect of Hickey joining us. Is he any better than what we already have?

Cameron would be great but at what price?

If we get Hickey they have gone stark raving mad.

Agree. We probably wouldn’t have even made the last dance in 2014 and 2016 without Buddy. Won us plenty of games off his own boot in both those seasons.

Hickey might just be cover for 12 months while Naismith recovers. If he's cheap and doesn't cost much in terms of trade I don't mind
