Sam Mitchell is a very astute young coach and no doubt knows what his team needs structurally to be a team that wants to ride the AFL arc north.
the media murmurings are the hawks are going hard for Ben McKay…….that could make it tricky for us."be tough, only when it gets tough"

Goldstein has actually played over 20 games per season last 3 years at 33,34 and 35yrs of age
We have hickey retiring and Ladhams needing maybe another season bashing against a Goldstein…….and McAndrew and Owen could certainly fast track development against Todd at training in 2024
TD would be cheap and helps our cause to secure a serious Key Defender and maybe even another surprise up front to genuinely replace Buddy’s 50 plus goals per season.
It could make sense if the other 3 or 4 hopeful scenarios are drying up."be tough, only when it gets tough"

With Hickey retiring, 1-2 years with Goldstein would be a bonus for the Swans. Strong in the ruck and around the ground as well as a good left foot. Would make a difference in the centre bounces for our ball carriers. At not a lot of money.too. I'd rather him than Mackay from North.Comment

Goldie is already 35 and would want a 2 year deal, but has been very durable so far. He’d be a good plan C or D if Grundy, Soldo etc fall through.Comment

Sammy will stay if he recovers. Arnold and Buller should sign on if they want an AFL career- they will get an opportunity next year. As far as Wicks is concerned…………….wouldn’t lose any sleep if he goes????Comment

I think Buller signed on for 18 months when he was drafted.
Based on the very small sample size of watching play in the twos against Richmond, I reckon he's got a good future.Comment
