Shock horror, a forward outmarks a defender. Thats why they are forwards, and it happens many times in every game. I think I even saw Barry Hall do it.!

Lucas did outmark LRT at least once, for his first goal. As for possessions, check what Essendon's inside 50 stats were like. They had much fewer chances than us, and for Lucas and Lloyd to kick 8 from those chances was very impressive.
LRT spent most of the 2nd half on the bench. I think that says quite a lot considering there were only 3 fit men on the bench.
Your comment was LRT smashed by Lucas how was he smashed purely and simply, the only thing pure and ver simple are your comments.
Originally posted by Wazza LRT was only directly opposed to Lucas for 1 of those 4 goals lucas didnt out mark him once...Waz
2 (remember LRT sprinting back to the goalsquare as Lucas marked unattended?), and possibly 3 (I think Goodes was covering for LRT when he was caught upfield). Lucas did out position/out mark LRT for his first goal.

Yep. So LRT conceded 2/3 goal to Lucas in a half.

With Schauble, Saddington, Vogels Jolly and Ball, recent inclusions--or soon to be--I'm hoping LRT's career will be over within the month. Well, you've got to have dreams.

In LRT's defence, that goal where Lucas was in the goalsquare was not his fault. Kennelly executed a poor kick which resulted in a turnover and LRT was running forward to create an option.
But if you think that LRT was not beaten tonight, then you're kidding yourself.

Despite LRT spending sooo much time on the pine (as the LRT haters are so quick to bring up), he had the same or more possessions than:
Schuable and fellow young'ns in Dempster, Moore, Vogels.
Considering his time on the bench, he probably had more possessions per time than the "outstanding" lucas.
Originally posted by barry Lucas: 7 kicks, 2 handpasses. (2 more possies than LRT) Amazingly straight kicking for goal made a average game look good (ditto rest of bombers).
Next.
You're kidding.
To half time, Lucas had 7 possessions, 3 goals. On his way to a match winning performance.
After half time, when LRT went off him, 2 possessions, 1 goal.

Nail, head.

When a young inexperienced defender playing CHB keeps a quality CHF to less than 10 possesions I'm (and most people who understand the game) are rapt.

Your only trying to stir things up right? you couldnt really be serious with your comments?
Thanks for the laugh

3 goals in a half of football is on his way to a match winning performance. That equates to 6 goals in a full game, which would have won the game for Essendon.
7 possession and 3 goals in a half = 14 poss, 6 goals in a full game. That would be a pretty good game for Lucas.
