I'm not concerned with the lack of Brownlow votes - umpires look at different things when voting. The missing games and the reasons they were missed is more relevant to the debate.I don't think the Swans should get too rapped in getting Sherman.
He has received just 6 Browlow votes in 114 games for his entire career. For a midfielder that's not that impressive. The best he has ever achieved in 114 games is one game in 2006 where he got 2 votes.
He was second in the Brisbane B and F, but that was way back in 2006.
And for the past four season, he has only had one completed year, 2009 where he played every game. For every other season, he has missed a total of 17 games out of a possible 66. That's only 75% of games he's played for three seasons.
If games were missed because of injury that are a repeat or similiar type, this could mean that in future years his game time could be seriously impactde by lengthy spells on the injury list.
If it was because of suspension - then that could be a serious problem too, although we kept BBH in check for a while.spriteComment

sherman is overrated. Glad we're not getting him FWIW. 2 years ago I would have been all for it purely from a pace aspect. Clearly this is not a problem anymore...I wish my weed was EMO so it would cut itselfComment

Heard it on trade week radio a couple of days ago. tried to post it but internet screwed up. Apparently not happy in sydney anymore. V. strange would be devostating to lose him when he's just started getting back to his best.Comment
