With giles staying at gws then the stock of available big men / forwards who can ruck just dropped back. Crows were after him for that reason. Makes jessie look more valuable to them now !

Yes Scott. The only recruiter from any Club that made himself famous or more infamous.
The number 1000 has nothing significant about it and we should keep working our way towards Swans premiership year milestones.
We'd have plenty in the 1900's:
1909 - Geoffrey Edelstein born and first premiership
1960 - Geoffrey discovers black hair dye. Brynne still 20 odd years to being born.
1981 - Big Al given first pair of shorts. (still has them)
1982 - Warwick Capper receives first painted on pair of shorts. Still wearing them.
So lots more memorable numbers.
This is 1007# - new James Bond moving coming out and can't wait !!!Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

It's the reverse of the after-finals positions but the actual number of picks will only be determined once all clubs settle on their lists post-trade period.Comment

I did not see this posted on here yet. It is from AFL.com.au. It says the Suns have completely moved on from Tippett and the article suggests that they would not even draft him. So it is not massive news, but does strengthen our position.

I don't think we'll see any action on it this week - as others have said, the deal's probably done and Adelaide will get pick 22 and Jesse at best, but to save face it probably wont be announced until later next week. Really badly managed by all parties, especially Tippett and his manager, IMHO.Comment

I think the bigger problem is the drawn out trade period. Tippetts moving was always going to be the big news of trade week especially when he chose Sydney over the Gold Coast , but it would have been done and dusted by now in any previous year.
You would think this was the biggest trade thats ever occurred by the coverage and the so called outrage. No wonder Tippett wants out of that town.Last edited by Mr Magoo; 15 October 2012, 02:43 PM.Comment

We should offer the Crows a good Counter Tenor. Sure to get the deal over the lineYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

Just my impression that in nominating us last week, it had closed a few doors of other teams. I would have thought that you would entertain offers from a number of clubs to help your bargaining position - now it appears that the Swans will probably get him for not much in terms of picks or players. I guess it doesn't matter to Kurt as long as he gets paid, but I just thought you'd look at a few clubs if your deal is not signed, sealed and delivered.
Plus I think the whole saga is dragging on and will do so for another week and a bit.....Comment
