Andy Maher is a keen Carlton supporter and is also anti on the non- Victorian AFL Clubs. Maybe he should have asked Anderson if it was a good look with Judd playing for Carlton with everyone knowing that the Visy deal got him there in the first place?! Or was it a good look when Carlton poached Rhys-Jones, Mitchell, Williams and Evans from the Swans. Yes, I have a looong memory...and boy, is it sweet looking at who the AFL powers currently are!

Think I'll have to go and have a read from start to finish. Not.

Don't get me wrong, this thread has been an interesting conversation, but if our humble 2, 537 replies is anything to go by, that must be one well and truly worn path going round and round the mulberry bush on the BF Adelaide thread.

I don't see how or why the commission would exclude Sydney. Emma Quayle is reporting the detail of the Tippet deal, $3.5 m over four years. Which is a fair amount

Tippet has asked to be delisted and signed to Sydney as a free agent. This is probably what Maher is responding to

The I.Q of Big Footy users isn't that high so it doesn't surprise me that the count is so high. You have to do something when you're not breaking into houses.

THE latest legal shot in what has become something of an off-season battlefield for the AFL over the past month came from Kurt Tippett late on Monday when he pushed to be immediately delisted by Adelaide to become a free agent.
The request came from Tippett's lawyer, David Galbally, QC, and was sent to the AFL. The view from head office was that Tippett would stay an unhappy Crow at least until Friday, November 30, which is when Adelaide and its various officials and their thicket of lawyers front the AFL
I would think Galbally is laying a foundation to show 'restraint of trade' by the AFL if KT does not end up here at the Swans.

The NRL draft was torpedoed by 1 disgruntled player. This could well play out the same unless the AFL show some common sense.

The conditional 2 year extension, worth just under a mill each season ( reportedly) seems extremely generous, considering he'll be 30 and 31 those years. This will cause us to lose a player over money at some point, you can almost guarantee that.

Even if any of that were true, there's no way he'll play 20 games a season.

It's crazy that we're offering him so much money - I am more than happy for us to get him, especially with us not having to have traded players and/or draft picks, but $3.5M over 4 years???? That's too much.....

                            Tippett?

It's not inconceivable that he will play 20 games a year for the next four years, especially considering we will likely be finalists in some, if not all of those years. If hey didn't think him capable of seeing out full seasons of footy, then surely they wouldn't be chucking all that cash at him.
