I think the idea that he didn't know what was going on has always been a bit of a fantasy. I hope someone else gets him and Mr Membrey becomes a star forward for the Swans instead.

Crows got off real light. Pathetic by the AFL, but not surprising.

In the presser Caroline Wilson banged on about Tippett going to the premiership club after 11 matches; "is that fair". If he was lined up with the Tiges she wouldn't have said boo. Then she rattled on about the state of footy in Adelaide (off topic). No wonder interstate supporters hate her.
Why did you stipulate "interstate supporters hate her". I'm not interstate ans that sums up my feelings for her.

A lot of Melbourne supporters have no time for interstate sides so love her articles and snipes about interstate clubs

Agree totally. She's a right royal pain in the a#$e. It was all about her not the decisions.

                Tippett?

It's annoying that people assume because we won the flag our salary cap must be bursting. We won it with a mix of evergreen veterans, astute recycling of players from other clubs, a big step up from our middle aged mid tier players, and some exceptional youngsters. Add to that some courageous efforts, and more than a good dash of good luck at times too. when someone at my worked mentioned it was dodgy that we could afford Tippett after just winning the flag, I asked him How many stars do we have in our side who'd be on plenty, excluding our three star veterans. He came up with Hannerberry, Mumford and Joey. I explained The latter two were brought in from they clubs with the promise of oppurtunity and are paid unders for what they do on the field. The former is a 21 year old kid who had a breakout year, and particularly a breakout game in the GF. Short sighted, ignorant pricks.

Kurt turns it back on the Crows now....

                  I trusted them

You say dickhead, yet "Swans maintain Tippett commitment"
What does that imply about the Swans?

Always thought Tippett would find it hard to try it on that he was innocent and oblivious to it all.
He did what anyone in his position would do and plead innocence.
I'm sure he thought being able to fall back on the whole "it was all Adelaide's fault" would give him a bit of grace, but not to be.
IMO he always knew that the Crows were doing the wrong thing and pretended he didn't.
                          Money talks.

Getting back to the 'dickhead' thing.
Hall, Plugger, Dermie, blah blah blah.
I see Swans supporters who actually believe this 'ethos' as sheep.
Sounds nice, but in real life we've probably drafted more perceived dickheads than most other clubs over the years.

A caller rang into SEN in Melbourne this afternoon after the verdict. He mentioned that he attended a lunch that Kevin Sheedy spoke and that Sheedy said "hhhmmm, do we really want to pay someone a million a year that will probably miss a big chunk of 2013? Also at the lunch, the caller said that Sheedy really is targeting Jason Laycock (ex Ess) now playing in Tassie. GWS have apparently asked Laycock to register at the last minute for the pre-season draft.

Question: in the weeks leading up to Round 12 next season, could Tippett be allowed to play in the two's? Might have to ask a lawyer.

Nope, he is suspened so will need to play in the ressies from round 12 to find match fitness and form. Reckon we don't want to take him to face Port in Adelaide in R12 underdone in a very hostile environment.

Port Power would be hoping he does play as it would be a sellout with rapid foaming at the mouth Cows fans and a great boost to Ports ailing coffers.
