Talk about watering down penaties. All but one person got half the penalty suspended. That means if in the next 5 years they have an indiscretion they will cop another 6 months. Big deal; looks like the early plea got them off the hook. Harper ends up out for 2 months and is back in the chair as of 1st March. In the presser Caroline Wilson banged on about Tippett going to the premiership club after 11 matches; "is that fair". If he was lined up with the Tiges she wouldn't have said boo. Then she rattled on about the state of footy in Adelaide (off topic). No wonder interstate supporters hate her.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

Tippett?
It's annoying that people assume because we won the flag our salary cap must be bursting. We won it with a mix of evergreen veterans, astute recycling of players from other clubs, a big step up from our middle aged mid tier players, and some exceptional youngsters. Add to that some courageous efforts, and more than a good dash of good luck at times too. when someone at my worked mentioned it was dodgy that we could afford Tippett after just winning the flag, I asked him How many stars do we have in our side who'd be on plenty, excluding our three star veterans. He came up with Hannerberry, Mumford and Joey. I explained The latter two were brought in from they clubs with the promise of oppurtunity and are paid unders for what they do on the field. The former is a 21 year old kid who had a breakout year, and particularly a breakout game in the GF. Short sighted, ignorant pricks.Comment

Kurt turns it back on the Crows now....
I trusted them
"I trusted the Adelaide Football Club and for the duration of my contract I did my utmost for the club on and off the field. It is bitterly disappointing, then, to learn that my trust and best endeavours have been to my substantial detriment.
Only during the recent AFL trade period did I learn that some terms in the Adelaide offer may have contravened AFL rules..."Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

You say dickhead, yet "Swans maintain Tippett commitment"
What does that imply about the Swans?
Always thought Tippett would find it hard to try it on that he was innocent and oblivious to it all.
He did what anyone in his position would do and plead innocence.
I'm sure he thought being able to fall back on the whole "it was all Adelaide's fault" would give him a bit of grace, but not to be.
IMO he always knew that the Crows were doing the wrong thing and pretended he didn't.
Money talks.
Getting back to the 'dickhead' thing.
Hall, Plugger, Dermie, blah blah blah.
I see Swans supporters who actually believe this 'ethos' as sheep.
Sounds nice, but in real life we've probably drafted more perceived dickheads than most other clubs over the years. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

A caller rang into SEN in Melbourne this afternoon after the verdict. He mentioned that he attended a lunch that Kevin Sheedy spoke and that Sheedy said "hhhmmm, do we really want to pay someone a million a year that will probably miss a big chunk of 2013? Also at the lunch, the caller said that Sheedy really is targeting Jason Laycock (ex Ess) now playing in Tassie. GWS have apparently asked Laycock to register at the last minute for the pre-season draft.Comment

Port Power would be hoping he does play as it would be a sellout with rapid foaming at the mouth Cows fans and a great boost to Ports ailing coffers.Comment
