The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I think it's far to say that it's very unlikely that Matt would come to that conclusion.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Forrest Gump one said " life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get". That may be true, but I have a pretty good idea of what sort of chocolate I want in my hand.

I don't always have an idea of what chocolate I will end up with, but I plot a course as a starting point, test out my initial hypothesis, and then re-work the game plan as changes arise.

Trade week is upon us. Let the fun begin.

So that means you make it up as you go, then undertake revisionist history so that you were right all along

Heeney officially a Swan after Melbourne bid pick 2 and the Swans, somewhat surprisingly (not) opted to match it.

And now our second round pick committed on Hiscox.

I feel like the Grinch in telling you that Forrest Gump is a made-up character. A bit like Kochie's TV persona and the way Buddy is portrayed in the media. Conway Twitty did a song about it called "It's Only Make Believe".

That's a surprise, thought it was common consensus that Davis would be the next pick.

And now pick 73 committed to Davis. I think that means we still have the 3rd round pick we started with but the rest are gorn.

                      Just to summarise our picks:

Melbourne bid #2, we matched with #17 for Isaac Heeney
Fremantle bid #32, we matched with #36 for Jack Hiscox
Geelong bid #70, we matched with #73 for Abaina Davis

So we still have #55 for the moment.

Left with pick 56 plus anything we get for Mal if he heads to Gold Coast and Membrey, so probably three late'ish picks.

They must think Hiscox can develop to use our second rounder and nice of Roos to rate Heeney as second best player in the draft, will give Eddie more ammo :-(

The Swans could have let Hiscox go if the 2nd round was too much.

Hiscox went way higher than expected, but Davis lower. We should look at the 3 picks as a whole and be happy we kept our third rounder after there were suggestions that we could have used our top 3 selections today.

Trade radio just announced that Membrey has requested a trade to St Kilda

Didn't make much difference as it all works on the "next available pick".
