I see that Coniglio has just signed a long term deal to stay with the Giants. Good for him. While I'm no great fan of the Giants, I'm pleased that Hawthorn and Clarkson didn't get their way. Especially since some of the media, had already seemed to assume that it was a fait accompli.

Agree with others - nothing to lose taking Bennell. His stats are impressive: 21.7 disposals, 1.1 goals a game. I didn't realise he was so prolific; he has cracked up several 25+ possession games, career high 39.

I wouldn't touch Bennell. Dumped by two crap clubs already, nasty associates, chronic injury history. In a year we lose four upstanding bloods role models, we contemplate replacing them with this guy? seriously surely we can do better?
