Great news, brothers playing together has a nice feel to it.

Two more Warner brothers to complete the set! I think the third brother is two or maybe three drafts away.

I think it's a very strategic move by the Swans to re-sign the Warner brothers like a package deal on the same lengths of contract, particularly considering Corey has not yet played a senior game. Reckon they had this strategy in mind from the outset when they drafted Corey, to stave off any go home factor by Chad and strengthen the connection with his family.

I think it will help with the other pair of brothers in the side too.

I'm genuinely curious, as I have only watched so much reserves this year: for those that do so more religiously, how is Corey travelling?

Corey is travelling solidly. His highlights are great, and he works hard. I would rate his as reasonably consistent (for a 1st year player) but not prolific.

He started the season slowly, but has improved as the season progressed. His second half has been really solid.

He's played several wing roles throughout the year, from HBF to HFF. His kicking has been a notable improvement as has been his higher possession numbers. He is very quick with excellent closing speed, which helps as a defender and tackler.

I'm not sure how much our desire to sign Chad affected Corey's signing, but I think Corey has earned an extension on his own accord. We have been seeing Corey following a similar trajectory to that of Chad. So looking forward to a big 2023 from Corey.

I think he has potential with his speed but still has a fair way to go to threaten for the seniors. He is slightly built so needs to hit the weights hard over the summer. A very different style player to his brother at this stage. Closer to Dylan Stephens than Chad in his playing approach.

I note that Gus has yet to re-commit for another two years post 2023. Let's hope that changes soon.

Thanks, and that's good to hear about his kicking. I can't remember whether it was Beatson or Dalrymple that targeted his kicking at the time of him being drafted as an area he'd need to improve, so kudos to him and the coaches for making progress on it.

Agreed. There's nothing unusual but, given Roberts and Warner have signed, I can only think that Sheldrick's manager is holding out for a better deal. I can't imagine we haven't offered him a two year extension, like those others.

Ten club already have their initial picks locked in, our three picks, our first and second and Melbourne's first are a work in progress for at least another three weeks.

Pick swaps are always interesting and often quite inventive. Clubs to watch this year are

Brisbane who have no where near enough points to match a bid for F/S Ashcroft which should come at pick 1, plus they have Jaspa Fletcher F/S touted as a late first to mid second round.

Gold Coast who are holding their own first pick 7, plus three seconds and two thirds. Rankine should net them the Cows first pick 5. That's a lot of picks they may not use this year so plenty of trading picks into the 2023 draft I'd reckon.

Hope Dodoro survives the nuclear explosion at Essendon, he's such a fun watch in trade period and ND.

Sinclair has officially announced his retirement at the end of this season. No surprise there but confirmation.

He’s been a great servant of the club and will be a Blood for life. Gave his all during 2019 and 2020 when he carried the ruck both seasons. Apparently he’s been doing some work with the women’s team, so hopefully they can keep him on as a coach.

If Sinclair is retiring, I for one want to say thanks. He was a whole-hearted footballer. During our down years he battled away in the ruck, did it bloody well, had some good moments up forward and never once could you question his commitment or endeavour. He was a good footballer, and from the snippets I have heard from inside the club, the ultimate team mate and club man. He can be proud of what he contributed.
