I'm 40s in WA, not one person I know has ever lived, with or without kids, in and Apartment. It's not a WA thing.

Don't sell them life after footy, sell them life during footy

My brother lives in an apartment in Applecross. My sister lived in one at Burswood.

There are haps of occupied apartments in WA, from public housing to high end?

I raised my family in a 3 bedroom apartment in East Perth (4 kids) most people view life through their life experiences I guess

Footballers on 500k plus a year aren't buying apartments in WA.

Alot of apartment living in WA is cost driven (not all).

What I'm trying to say is sell them the apartment lifestyle during their careers and encourage them to buy the dream house and rent it out.

Like Dawson, specifically stated what he could get in SA vs what he could get in NSW, change the convo get him to rent for 5yrs while buying back home, no need to make a long term resident out of him.

Same convo is going to have to happen for Warner

On the money these guys earn, they can afford to buy a property pretty much anywhere in Sydney.
The fact that it costs more than buying a similar property in another State is irrelevant....It's an investment.
If /when they want to move home or elsewhere, they sell, and most likely walk away with a handy tax free profit.
Bottom line is, if you can aford to buy a property in Eastern Sydney, it's an excellent investment.

FWIW Heard The Age Sports Journalist Peter Ryan mention on SEN Sportsday last evening, that Logan McDonald is a better than a 50% chance of signing on with the Swans till his FA. He came to this conclusion after contacting the club on Logan's contract situation.

Even though Logan has not yet signed, believes he is happy at the club.

Addressing the speculation of interest from Collingwood, Peter believes the Pies have not offered Logan a contract and are just monitoring his situation for now. I got the impression Pies are more interested in Zurhaar from North, as Peter believes he is better than 50% chance going to them as FA.

Kane Cornes, Gerard Healy & Peter Ryan were all of the opinion Logan is still developing as a nice forward but not playing with the fire for clubs to risk throwing him big $$$$ at this stage.

Earlier in the week heard a Pies caller adamant Logan had committed to Collingwood when we drafted him, insisting that he would leave after 4-5 years (this is is based on Logan was a Pies supporter). Dwyane Russell had trouble believing that!

Looks like we'll have two picks in the early 20s in this years draft. Where do people think our list weaknesses are that could be addressed with these picks?
