Come on we'd have to be total idiots not to see this coming from the lisp.

Pelc has waited until it's fairly clear that there will be no better offer for O'Keefe before pulling out the "16 was never confirmed" line.

I can't see any reason why we can't do to him what he did to Collingwood with Stevens. Let ROK go in the preseason infact refuse to take all calls from Hawthorn.

Swans I beg you don't get sucked in to trade O'Keefe way under market value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!especially not to Pelc's ilk.

ROK won't go into PSD. If there's no trade he'll stay for the 1.4 mill. I think he's painted himself into a corner. I'm sure he thought he'd get more if he made a move (or threatened it) but now he's going to get less! Deep down he'll be hoping the deal will fall through and he can go back to first base. I think things have got out of control a bit for him.

Just heard Pelchin on SEN. Deal now highly unlikely.

            From that article

But giving up their first round pick would have left them with No.34 as their earliest selection.
Unless they traded a player for an earlier pick.
They don't seem to realise how it all works.
I only hope the Swans don't allows the Hawks to make us their bitches.
Let him go to the pre season draft if there is no first round offer.
            We'll live.

I suspect they know how it works but it appears they don't want to trade any of their players or any of their picks. They seem to want their cake and Edith too.

Again Hawks are just playing games - they only want to give up 16 or second rounder and average player.

Swans shouldn't fall for that deal remember O'Keefe would easily slip into the 10 best players at Hawthorn he is worth every bit lowly pick 16 and a decent player, probably one that wasn't even in the best 22 on Grand Final day.

If O'Keefe ends up staying with the club will it make him the first Goose to play for the Swans?

According to that article they wouldn't even consider 16 alone.

@@@@ Hawthorn and make a firm decision on what we require for him and by no means change it . 1st Rounder & Thorpe / Boyle or PSD Hawks.

Sanity needs prevail here. I believe the Blues will come back with their 24 and a good player, The Dons also their second rounder and mahybe Stanton, or ROK comes back to the Swans. Highly improbable that he will go into the PSD.
Pelchin is playing with himself, simply thought he would get what he wants in the end..Swans will take a stand I am sure..the issue really is, do we want ROK to stay or are the bridges burnt as seems some on here would prefer to tar and feather him.

                            Exactly my point.

We offer ROK for pick 16 and a player.
They say "no way, ROK for pick 32 and a player"
Then they settle on ROK for pick 16

But it seems that the Hawks (for whatever reason) won't trade ROK for 16 which means that they are simply wasting our time.

I know it's all fun and games an puffing out chests, but I don't know why they even pretended to be serious.

Now having said all that, they'll announce tomorrow at 1:59:45 that ROK has been traded for pick 16.

The main downside I see is that ROK in a Hawks jumper tomorrow, looks way better than an empty Swans jumper with "pick 16" stamped across it

Pelchin has backed himself into a corner. No way 16 will be back on the table..seems it never was..either Stuey and co are dellusional, hallucinating or the guy is full of it..my vierw, is some last minute deal with one of the other suitors, or he stays with us,
