Furthermore, Richmond are chasing both Bennell and Yarran and are likely to give up their 1st round pick this year. If you look at it from Hardwick's POV, he's got this one last year to save his job. He's not after kids, but experienced players that can get him to a Prelim final. He couldn't give a stuff about draft picks, because if he doesn't produce something better next year, they'll be playing for another coach anyway.

    To Levi3's comments:
Nominations for FS close on 30 Oct. It's advantageous, IMO, to leave it for the last moment unless you are planning not to nominate.
Nic Newman plays HBF in a style similar to Malceski.

As long as there aren't other issues we don't know about it seems that Dunkley would be surplus to requirements.
Hewett was one of the youngest draftees so was always going to be a late bloomer but from all reports we was very very close this year to playing senior footy.

It would seem an absolute waste to not keep him and give him a chance, hopefully early next season..

Dunkley's stocks do seem to have fallen dramatically and he certainly didn't seem to set the world on fire at Richmond's ressies. Could he be the typical big kid that develops early and then gets overtaken, if his kicking is suspect I'd be very reluctant to draft him as that is the one key area where we need to improve - bit unfaor on him but I can still remember how his old man used to kick, gawd he was awful.

Talk on 774 that the eagles might consider a straight swap of Sinclair for Jetta. They don't want to trade their 1st pick as they are looking for more speed not another ruckman.

That could work - with Talia being a cheap trade (2nd round pick would be generous but perhaps about right).

That sounds great. Get it done. Sinclair was impressive on Saturday night, moves well and has a go.

That is what it is, talk.

No way would they let go of their second ruckman. If Nat went down injury, who would they have left??

They may consider Scott Lycett who is surplus for their needs, but that it.

Stats Height:203 cm Weight:103 kg, but he hasn't set the world afire.

We need a quality ruckman and defenders; we already have too many part time and second string ruckman

I'm not a huge fan of Sinclair. I think Lycett is better, despite the fact Sinclair is in their side at the moment.

Having said that, Jetta has delivered significantly more than either of them to this point.

The point apparently is that Lycett would be in the team at present except that he has a knee injury. They've just signed him to a new four year deal.

He got dropped mid-year for Sinclair, returned for a couple of games while Naitanui was out and then got dropped again. Played 8 games in the WAFL. So they're kidding themselves.

I like Sinclair. He's a late starter and even at 25 he has plenty of good footy ahead and can play as a KP forward as well. He and Tip could rotate in the ruck without us losing anything up forward like we do with Mike. He played some terrific footy with Port Melbourne a few years back and I hear he even does breakfast radio in WA. Although "Open Sinclair" doesn't have the same ring to it as "Open Pyke."

                                On air with Sinclair.
