I think it's unfortunate that JD wants to go to a club deep in a rebuild who really shouldn't be handing over first rounders. Plus the Crows are a club that doesn't like to pay fair price for players, whereas the Blues do. I do feel that JD has shafted us twice in a way. If he'd told us earlier he wanted to leave, or at the very least flagged it as a possibility, then we could worked to find a club prepared to pay a fair price. Which is how the Cerra deal feels. He could have gone to Melbourne, but chose Blues I think partly because he knew it would get done (and was fair to his former club).
Still there's plenty yet to play out. Who knows what discussions we've had with Jordan and his agent about the PSD, with North or GCS, with Port, with the Crows. If North turn around and say we'll take JD if he puts himself into the PSD, then Adelaide and JD are screwed. Which I would rather enjoy.Comment

KB has been known to do so! Let's hope the old dog still has a bag full of tricks.Comment

It seems that anyone over 26 at Hawthorn is open to trade according to the AFL site, James Sicily is 26. He has some mongrel about him and could be an addition to the backline. If Hawthorn are looking for picks we may be able to get him cheaply.
Just a thought.spriteComment

If we could get Sicily, that would be great. Although I doubt they'd part with him.
Part of me wonders if the demands we are making of the Crows are based on what we need for a player we have in our sights (as in the Hawks might want a top ten pick for Sicily)Comment

I'd be interested in Sicily but I don't think the Hawks will trade him. It's probably not a coincidence they're talking about being open to trading players "over 26".All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

The latest Draft Central Power Rankings.
Draft Central Power Rankings: October 2021 - Aussie Rules Draft Central
Obviously not a huge amount of movement, since many of the top prospects haven't been playing, but they have promoted Corey, brother of Chad, to 30. And they have mentioned Leek Alleer for the first time, but only to say that he's the leading over age prospect, who should be picked up in the second round.Comment

Although this is coming from Kane Cornes!
I'm extremely excited about the possibility of Sicily --> Swans

SEN saying Sam Mitchell is personally calling clubs trying to offload "the likes of Tom Mitchell, Jaeger O’Meara and Chad Wingard" dunno if that would include Sicily?

My understanding is around the time he made his "don't be nervous Swans fans" comment, his manager was telling SA clubs he was staying in Sydney, and it was only an issue of whether he took the deal that took him to FA, or the longer-term deal on offer. To the point where Adelaide at least had turned their attention elsewhere, and were stunned when he came back into play very late in the piece. In fact, he didn't even have the guts to do it face to face in his exit meeting, but after he'd gotten to SA in quarantine.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

The little rat did blindside us.

I cannot wait to see the WA uproar after watching the Eastern States flying in and out of Bali for a number of months.
It’s quite possible that Rory sees himself as a citizen of the World and wants international travel flexibility.
Freemantal want a ruck forward replacement for Lobb. Give them Amarty. Much cheaper than Lobb and they can develop him.
Lobb always played well against us.Comment

Don’t mention injuries. The Amartey party also deals with injuries.
We’d need to give draft pick as well as Amartey to get him.
I think a committee of Faunac8, The Bloods, MCS, Ludwig and I’mUnimformed can debate the question of whether my Lobb for Amartey suggestion is embarrassing?Comment
