Hadn’t read that about Schultz. He wouldn’t have asked to be traded to Collingwood if they hadn’t courted him, but I reckon there are 17 clubs (including Freo) who need him more than Collingwood.

Did anyone hear today Charlie at on trade radio stating his concern Re the age and experience of our midfield group going into 2024 hence discussions with Adams and Grundy
That Charlie G stated that all the GF teams and or winning GF teams over the recent years have been very experienced
He also talked about Adams equally suited to a role in the forwards as well as mids"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Because we are trading in total duds!!!
Hamling is a reject from Geelong, Dogs and Freo, and Adams is always injured. I thought that Francis was Paddy replacement??
As for Grundy, how much of his $1m salary are we paying and why did we recruit Ladhams then??
This desperation show our failures in recruiting and trading and salary cap.
Is there a player we have not been linked to??
They are all 30+, showing Longmire continue weakness in playing over the hill players over youth.
Our list has been destroyed in one trade period and all of these players will be gone in two years.
It reminds me of Port Adelaide a few years ago in trading in Watts, Rocklcliff and the disaster that they brought!
Beatson is what 67, our president is almost the same and has never been elected, and we have a coach who has yet to explain why he chosed an injured player in Reid instead of MacDonald in the GF and who has not signed a contract extension.
We believe we are close?? Then why did we get thrashed in that GF??
Some of the 'outrage' over our trades is truly laughable.
Some need to smoke a good joint and calm TF down.Comment

I think that you are very unfair , unless Sam remains injured. He is only 31. He had a great 2022. He is shoved in every role but runner and ball boy every week. And plays every position well. Surely it’s lunacy to drop him. He probably costs little and rarely plays a bad game. He doesn’t need to be kept because he’s a respected Swan , but he doesn’t need to be callously dismissed.Comment

Wow wee……as we walk around the edge last year this year…..Pies went hard coming into 2023 season and going again with Lachie Schultz a “forward 50 harassment player” and probably a very nice compliment to their very skilful team.

North have offered pick 43. According to Inside Trading: Saint on Suns' radar, Port's Esava move, Pies' forward squeeze (afl.com.au), North's list boss has said pick 43 was the initial offer, but "obviously, they (Sydney) would probably want a little bit more than that."
Sydney definitely want more than a rubbish pick in a shallow draft that is unlikely to get used. North have three first-round picks this year (including the AFL assistance pick) and will end up with four after McKay leaves North Melbourne for Essendon. They can spare pick 19. Pick 19 for Stephens plus a swap of later picks should be doable."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

If he is a sole Defender and can be durable, he will be better than Paddy was. Keep him out of the Fwd line and Ruck.
Melican and Sam are Big Ifs for durability.
Hamling and Arnold are big ifs at Snr levelComment
