I'm a bit torn regarding his debut, the glass half full angel on my left shoulder is assuring me that he'll kick 4 goals, and have sereal assists as well. Unfortunately the glass half empty angel on the other shoulder is predicting that in an effort to prove himself to his new team-mates he will charge headfirst into the first pack situation he comes accross and be knocked out cold.
I realy HATE the glass half empty angel!CIA Agent to Policeman: "Have you ever had anti-terrorist training?"
Policeman: "Yes, I was married once."Comment

I realy HATE the glass half empty angel!I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

I hope he's used as a supplement to what we already do rather than a significant change to our style. Currently our strength is in our overwhelming midfield depth and quality and we'd clearly be daft to change that. I see KT as a complement to what we already have and someone who CAN deliver with a contested mark and goal when we get it forward quickly. We won't always look for him but even him being there and dragging defenders away should create more opportunities for our forward mids and for Morton, Goodes & McGlynn.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment

Just because of the hype (and because some people have nothing better to do), I'd estimate about 10 to 30 brightly-decked-out Crows supporters will rock up and make noise early, knowing that they'll get their mug on the TV. Depending on how the game's going, it's an open question whether any of them even make it to the final siren."Take me down to the Paradise City where the grass is green and the Swans win pretty."Comment

I have the feeling that we may not see a performance worthy of the messiah this weekend as having a power forward has not been a part of our game plan so far. I am intrigued to see how we will change what we do. Do the mids stream through the midfield and then look for Tippett instead of pumping the goals? Will Tippett be a stay-at-home ff, thereby forcing the opposition to keep a defender back, subsequently diluting our slingshot? I think it will mess with our game plan for a month or so until we can work it out, so I wont be surprised if there are some close calls and frustrating passages in the next few games.Comment

I think we adapted very well to Jesse playing the lead up FF last week. I also think Jesse will play the same role again and Tippett will play CHF & Ruck. Big ground, Big CHF. There won't need to be any transition Tip will play the same role as Sammy except he will pinch hit in the ruck and ruck duties could be shared three way, Pykie, Jesse & Tip.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

I'm sure I read that Longmire said that Tippo will be a perm forward only this week. If Kurt's going to do forward/ruck I would have rather he did that for half a game, but I don't know if we can maybe read into it that they're thinking of Kurt as a permanent forward for this year since we have a pretty strong ruck duo?Comment

No disrespect intended in any way but I am really interested in what AnnieH is feeling at the moment?Comment

I assume that we need to wish him all the best and this record post should be the one where we pass on our regards..
Good Luck to Kurt Tippett on his first game for the Swans tomorrow.
