We need to keep Lloyd over Buddy.

I don’t think one affects the other.

Initially poor but now $500k/season so no one is offering more than that, except Carlton maybe LOL!

I'd expect we're not doing too much, organic growth has worked so far. Ollie Henry a sticky mitts medium forward at the Pies has been low balled, probably because of their cap squeeze, I like the look of him, only 20, two seasons in, been pushed out by mature 2021 MSD recruit Ash Johnson. Ex Geelong Falcon though so probably got his eye on going home to play with his brother

Are they not quite similar type players? Wouldn't someone that could bring something different be more useful?

Jez McLennan has been delisted by the Suns without ever playing a game of AFL. Lets see if the Swans show any interest?

Could our club be secretly courting Josh Dunkley? Bulldogs are out of the finals for a while now, and he hasn't announced his intentions. If he is willing to go to Port and Brisbane now, why not to Sydney?

Why would we want Dunkley? Who are you going to move out of our midfield to fit him in?

It (rather like a Mitchell return) is a conundrum. And possibly not disimilar to the one which confronts those wanting to see Ollie F return to the midfield?

Except that a return of Ollie to the midfield doesn't have to be a "now" thing (or a "next season" thing). It may be a break-glass-in-case-of emergency thing, or just part of a gradual changing up / evolution of the midfield group over the next few seasons. And Ollie in the midfield (or wing) would provide some pace, some evasiveness. Not another big-bodied, slow ball winner who, if played alongside Parker and Mills, would reduce rather than add to the dynamism of our midfield group.

We just ended the career of a club champion half a season too early by pushing him out of the middle and trying to play him across half-back because, in combination with others, the mix in the midfield wasn't quite right. And we essentially allowed (maybe even encouraged) George Hewett to leave the club for similar reasons.

We might need another body like this in a couple of seasons when, possibly, Parker has evolved to predominantly mid-sized forward (ala Jude Bolton) for the twilight of his career.

We didn’t take him in the draft when we had the chance. And he didn’t want to come. I think it’s unlikely …

Although Ollie Henry and Georgiades are both out of contract.

And Freo have said they’ll only let one of Logue and Lobb go. Lobb has asked for a trade

Dunkley would be an ideal pickup for the Lions imo. There’s too big a drop off in their engine room after Neale.

CBA mix is critical, Dunkley or Mitchell don't fit the Swans, look at the Crows who have dumped a 30+ possession slow midfielder in Crouch to change their CBA mix but can't find a new home for him.

Other than a developing KPB & developing Ruck, I'm not sure what else we desperately need this off season. Another Chad Warner maybe?

In news that will make some on here pretty happy, the second to last story in this article is that Gould is about to sign a one-year extension with the club.
