Would take that Aidan Odriscoll.
His brother plays for Freo.
Kid is lighting on the wing and knows where the goals are.
From Perth WAFL too, so fits with Warner's and Logan.
Know his old coach well, reckons he should be regarded alot higher.Comment

I am aware it’s a forum of opinions, and I can spot the difference between those and “dumb tough talk."
The thing is, you have a bit of a history of disparaging and even baiting those who occasionally express concerns or doubts about the Swans - the RWO "Doubting Thomas'"
And it’s looking more like an agenda than opinion.
Without Captain or Dow or caj23 or Cosmic Wizard or the other "Doubting Thomas'" expressing their thoughts this wouldn't be a discussion forum. It'd just be groupthink.
And while I certainly can't say I agree with a good chunk of their assertions, I see no reason to hector or bait them as has become your habit. They provide at least as much food for thought and certainly a wider range of opinion than "Legolanders".Comment

Our rack combo of we land Grundy will be Grundy McLean you would think given both can play forward for periods of a game. Ie Hamish 70/30 forward and Grundy 70/30 ruck
So that leaves two talls in Logan and Joel primarily playing forward.
If we don’t keep Reid I wonder if there are any other players that are tall that could play as a swingman but genuinely can kick goals?
Hawks want under pick 25 for Jacob Koschitzke
23yrs old, 198cm and could also become quite a good tall defender.
Im wondering what our plan B is if we can’t make Grundy and or Adams work
Do we strengthen other areas in the absence of getting what we want around the contested footy?
Given not much on offer right now."be tough, only when it gets tough"

Would say 95% of my posts have been positive, so not sure how that classifies me as a doubting Thomas.
You are absolutely correct about the agenda though. There are 2 or 3 specific posters that can't have a civil disagreement and instead result to basic abuse and hostility. I have posted on here for almost 20 years but over the past few years it has definitely been hijacked by these posters.
Isn't whinging about someone disagreeing with you (you) and thereby forcing someone to defend themselves (me) actually what is hijacking the thread?
As I said before, move on and we can all get back to talking about list management.Comment

I do not agree with any compensation being given to clubs when the lose a free agent. In the Mackay case the compensation is being unfairly born by all the other seventeen clubs who all move down a pick. A much greater impact on weaker clubs like Hawthorn who drop from pick 3 to pick 4 than Collingwood who drop from pick 18 to 19 and so on through all subsequent rounds. The whole compensation issue is unfair and requires the weaker clubs who received the higher picks to do the heavy lifting. Why should North or any club receive compensation for free agency. They have received their value from the player who has served his time and has earned the right to go where he might choose.
The Mackay case just exposes how ludicrous the system is when North get a pick 3 when if they traded Mackay they would likely not get better than a second round pick.Comment

The Swans need to engineer that the pick we get for Stephens goes to Collingwood for Adams.. and Pick 31 will go to Melbourne for Grundy. Pick 31 will end up being 35 after academy and father-son selection which would be spot on. Stephens will get early 30's (as he is out of contract). I like the look of our trade period. First trade period that has been great since the 2020 McDonald, Campbell and Gulden trade period.
The only thing that I don't like about our negotiations is that it seems we are a little too nice in our opening stance in relation to trades. If you aim to start at a reasonable level, other clubs will negotiate you down. I realise we are trying to be fair, but when you deal with the likes of Dodoro and Wright we will get dudded.Comment

agree comments of compensation picks club with the free agent has had enough chances to get thinks right. North brought in acouple of wans last yeaar for jkey defensive rolea poor choice. again using freepicks from the afl. cats and saints dont like it and i would think most other clubs would not like it. Swans got shafted when it signed Buddy no freebees thereComment

Also, from what I could work out, they possibly rate Ben McKay as worth a pick in the low thirties. But perhaps someone who understands their site better could confirm that for me?Comment
